Phone Myint Htwe (Leon) is a Myanmar-born marketing and finance specialist based in Bangkok. Known for his dynamic energy, cross-cultural adaptability, and creative leadership, he blends marketing strategy, digital execution, and storytelling to empower businesses and communities alike.

Before moving to Thailand for higher education, Leon completed a diploma program at one of Myanmar’s prominent business institutions. This was where he developed his early interest in entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and public speaking.

Phone Myint Htwe (Leon) is a dynamic young professional whose journey spans grassroots youth leadership, cross-border education, and multi-industry marketing roles. From volunteering with U.S. Embassy-backed programs in Myanmar to leading creative campaigns for global events in Thailand, Leon has consistently blended purpose-driven communication with strategic execution. With a foundation in civic engagement and a double major in Marketing and Finance from Assumption University, his story reflects resilience, adaptability, and a passion for creating meaningful impact—whether through storytelling, brand development, or empowering the next generation of changemakers.
Early Career & Civic Engagement (2019-2021)
Phone Myint Htwe (Leon) began his professional journey with a strong focus on youth leadership, civic education, and communication. In 2019, he was selected as a Program Volunteer for the English Language Program (ELP) in Yangon—an initiative by World Learning and the U.S. Embassy in Burma. The program empowered underserved Myanmar youth with English language skills, leadership training, and civic values. Leon facilitated classroom activities and peer-led discussions that promoted public speaking and cross-cultural awareness.
In 2020, Leon served as a Program Officer at the River Conversation Club hosted by the American Center Yangon, continuing his commitment to youth dialogue and global awareness. That same year, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked across various youth organizations in Myanmar as a Program Director, Webinar Moderator, Public Speaker, and Content Writer, delivering virtual empowerment programs and education campaigns.
Alongside his volunteer work, Leon freelanced as a Marketing Strategist for a Creative Film Production company, managing social media, branded storytelling, and promotional campaigns for cultural short films and media projects.
Academic Growth & Regional Experience (2021-2022)
In 2021, Leon joined MyanLearn, a growing edtech startup in Myanmar, as a Marketing Intern. He contributed to digital campaigns, conducted market research, and developed content to enhance access to online education for Myanmar learners.
Motivated to pursue international academic and professional development, Leon relocated to Thailand in 2021 to study at Assumption University, majoring in Marketing and Finance. This transition opened doors to new leadership opportunities and regional networking.
In 2022, Leon was appointed Local Committee Vice President of Marketing at AIESEC in Thailand, where he led the brand strategy for the “Global Volunteer” program, managed three social media platforms, and mentored over 200 students across Thailand. He also led marketing for national youth conferences and outreach campaigns.
Later that year, he became Head of Public Relations at the Assumption University Myanmar Student Community (AUMSC), building community partnerships, enhancing student engagement, and promoting Myanmar cultural representation on campus.
Creative Leadership & Media Experience (2023)
In 2023, Leon took on the role of Director of Graphic Design and Media at the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO). He led the creative direction and PR strategy for over 15 university events, grew AUSO’s digital presence to 9,500+ followers, and developed content that energized student participation and school spirit.
Later in the year, he joined The Thaiger, a prominent English-language media outlet in Thailand, as a Content Writer Intern. He created lifestyle, travel, and cultural articles, optimized for SEO, contributing to audience growth and editorial performance.
Professional Marketing Roles (2024-Present)
In 2024, Leon joined Niramit Creations, one of Thailand’s premier luxury event companies, as a Marketing Intern. He led digital content planning and social media campaigns for international events including the 74th FIFA Congress 2024 and Agoda’s Swag Store Opening, while also supporting destination wedding operations.
Later that year, he interned as an Account Executive at Ascend Group (TrueMoney Wallet), one of Southeast Asia’s top fintech brands. He led a referral program, assisted users in navigating the app, and provided strategic suggestions based on user engagement insights to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
Currently, Leon serves as a Content Specialist at Spokes Jewelry Services, Thailand’s No. 1 OEM jewelry manufacturer. He oversees digital marketing strategy, content creation, and brand development for three sub-brands. His role involves cross-functional collaboration, SEO, social media management, and storytelling that elevates brand visibility across regional and global markets.
